Porcelain Bonded to Metal Crowns

High quality materials are very important for consistant, controlled results. So selecting the right materials
supported by good technique allows us to produce the best crowns possible.


We use Cendres+Metaux and Skillbond for our alloys. They provide an extensive range of materials to suit all situations and requirements. We choose them for high quality,reliability and their extensive knowledge of dental alloys. Below is a summary of some of the alloys we use.


A silver palladium bonding alloy with well balanced properties and a fine grain structure, White in colour.
Pd 61.45%, Ag 24.45%, In 2%, Sn 10%, Zn 2.00%, Ru 0.05%, B 0.05%

Argedent Y86

A high strength yellow gold bonding alloy, copper free.
Au 86%, Pt 10%, Pd 1.9%, Ir < 1%, In 2%

Argenco 10s

A light yellow casting alloy.
Ag 45.9%, Au 10%, Pd 24%, In 18%, Zn 2%, Ir <1%

Argenco 60s

A deep yellow casting alloy.
Au 60%, Ag 21.75%, Cu 13.49%, Pd 3.5%, Zn 1%, In <1%, Ir <1%


We choose Noritake EX-3 for our bonded crowns. Noritake provides us with consistancy of colour and combines well with all of our bonding alloys. Noritake has an extensive range of colour effects including “Internal Life Stains” which is a versitile internal colour effect system. Noritake is available in all sixteen original Vita Classic shades, with an additional four shades, of which two are bleaching shades.
