David Bentley - Director
In 1991 I was one of the founders of Casterbridge Dental Studio, Along with my wife Penny and then business partner Paul Carroll. I qualified in 1988 after serving an apprenticeship with Broughton & Tyrrell where I attended South London College as a day release student, gaining my BTEC national diploma in science (dental technology).
I have since trained all over the world attending courses in, among other places, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the USA. My main technical skills and experience lie within Crown & Bridge and more recently Implantology. I have recently attended KAVO in Germany twice undergoing training on the Everest CAD/CAM milling system.
As well as running Casterbridge Dental Studio, I have found time to lead an active role with the Dental Laboratories Association (DLA) which in 2001 led to my election to the four chairs, and in 2004 I became Chairman of the Dental Laboratories Association. Amongst other things I have worked to promote DAMAS, where I was on the board of the DAMAS Advisory Group, until becoming the DLA's portfolio holder for Statutory Registration.
During my time with the DLA I have gained valuable experience travelling to speak and lecture on their behalf. ¨I have a strong interest in new developments and new technology, and strive to ensure that Casterbridge are able to produce in-lab all the latest products and systems available.
I believe strongly in maintaining a high level of training in all these areas for the technical and office staff, providing the customer with the product best suited for each individual case.
